Born in Panama, fashion designer and image consultant Teresita has set out on a journey to leave her footprints in the fashion industry. With internships with brands like Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Silvia Tcherassi enhancing her knowledge and experience during her early years, Teresita found her calling in 2011 with the launch of her brand Teresita Orillac.
Born with an inclination towards the fashion industry, Teresita has nurtured her talents in retail & design from an early age by working after school and weekends in her motherβs party supplies and decorating business. By the age of 16, Teresita set out on her first venture as a buyer and visual merchandiser of a pre-teen fashion boutique called MiniDivas. This experience thus ignited her curiosity and passion for design leading her to pursue her formal education in Miami studying Fashion Merchandising and later in New York studying Fashion Styling and Image Consulting. Sealing off her formal education with a most coveted internship with Chanel, and assisting Carolina Herrera for New York Fashion Week, Teresita returned to Panama to kick-start her dream as a fashion designer.
In 2010 Teresita opened her own fashion atelier, offering couture lovers the services of personal shopping and image consulting for TV shows, magazines and personal clients; while simultaneously working on her launch collection for Teresita Orillac at Panama Fashion Week. During this time she started her blog for fashion and beauty advice and became a writer for several publications including Ocean Drive magazine.
Since the launch of her brand in Panama, Teresita has been appointed as a brand ambassador of La Mer, the luxury skin care brand, and conducted numerous Image Consulting Workshops and Seminars that were sponsored by renowned brands Smashbox Cosmetics, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Bourjois Paris among others. It was during these seminars and workshops that the idea for work wear and uniforms was developed, leading to the creation of her second brand T.O by Teresita Orillac.
